MEET FORD O'CONNELL
FORD O’CONNELL is a conservative media personality from Southwest Florida who served as a Trump White House and Campaign Surrogate for the 2020 election. He is a frequent guest on Fox News, Fox Business, and Newsmax TV as well as Fox News Radio, and his political analysis and commentary have appeared in a variety of publications including The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and ESPN.com.
Ford is also a lawyer. He worked in a number of prosecutors’ offices and helped put dangerous criminals and drug dealers behind bars to make communities safer.
Growing up in a single-parent household, Ford learned the value of hard work, and he lived it from working construction sites to laboring as a barback.
He worked just as hard to get an education, overcoming learning disabilities to graduate from Swarthmore College with degrees in Political Science and Religion while playing quarterback on the football team as well as playing for the lacrosse team. He also graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law (Juris Doctor) and holds Masters degrees from Duke University and from Northwestern University.
He is dedicated to serving the community. In January, he and his wife gathered donations for the victims of the devastating tornadoes in Southwest Florida and delivered them to the local fire station. Ford also hunted the invasive snakes that threaten to disturb the ecosystem of the Everglades as part of the Python Bowl, and is a supporter of the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida.
A proven conservative who will put Florida first, Ford’s devotion to the conservative causes of limited government, free enterprise, and personal responsibility were instilled in him by his grandfather, Henry Salvatori, an advisor to three U.S. Presidents, including Ronald Reagan.
